As a full time, exempt CPS Director of Pharmacyat Bakersfield Heart Hospital,youwill oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team.
Schedule:This full time, exempt position will work40+ hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am-5:00pm and on-call on an as-needed basis.
About the Facility:Bakersfield Heart Hospital is a 47-bed for-profit independent specialty hospital located in Bakersfield California. Bakersfield Heart Hospital specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular disease, but also cares for a wide range of other medical and surgical patients. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission.CPS has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.
About the Pharmacy: This centralized automated pharmacy utilizes CPOE, Paragon (plans to migrate to Cerner in 2021), and Pyxis ES. In addition to the Director, the Pharmacy is supported by a staff of 7 full time employees.Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday - 6:30am-9:00pm and Saturday, Sunday and Holidays - 7:30am-6:00pm.
