SOS, a Contract Medical Organization (CMO), deploys Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) on behalf of pharmaceutical and biotech clients. SOS is located in suburban Atlanta, Georgia

SOS was founded in 1997 as the pharmaceutical industry’s first Contract Medical Organization (CMO). Since that time, SOS has initiated more than 50 Medical Science Liaison (MSL) programs for its clients, including five of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies. SOS has hired, trained and deployed hundreds of domestic and international MSLs, the vast majority of whom have been internalized by SOS clients. To date, SOS has supported 21 products during pre-launch and launch phases.

SOS has also provided numerous companies with medical communications and pharmacovigilance support, including call center, medical writing, adverse event and product complaint reporting, medical meeting support, and field-based support, such as training.

Still under the leadership of its founder and President/Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Evan Demestihas, SOS is recognized as the long-standing leader in the industry. The SOS staff is made up of trained healthcare and medical affairs professionals, many of whom have been with the company almost since its inception. The executive management team alone boasts nearly 200 combined years of industry knowledge and experience.

CAREERS

Positions are available worldwide to consult with medical opinion leaders in academic and clinical practice settings on behalf of pharmaceutical/biotech companies. Within a geographic region, Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) identify, gain access to, provide medical information to, and determine additional needs of their key opinion leaders. MSLs establish strong relationships with opinion leaders and key institutions by providing value added services, facilitating clinical research, and supporting educational programs. Regional travel is required.
