Price Chopper's future is as promising as its past is rich. From the earliest
days of the last century to today, hard work and caring about customers has made
the difference.
Today, a cooperative and friendly working relationship is enjoyed by Price
Chopper Pharmacists. Since 1932, the company has never lost a single day due to
either labor disputes or strikes, and its 20,000 employees own 55 percent of the
company's privately held stock.

Bernard Golub died on May 17, 1972 and William Golub died on October 19,
1992. They left a legacy of innovation, energy and caring both for the
Associates in the company and the people in the communities in which Price
Chopper does business. Fortunately for the company, a new generation of Golubs was helping shape the
corporation's destiny. Lewis, Bernard's son, and Neil, William's son, had
learned the business from the bottom up, just as their fathers had. Together
they've brought the company into the 21st century and continue a family
tradition of leadership in both food merchandising and local communities. Today,
Lewis serves as the corporation's Chairman of the Board, while Neil serves as
its Chief Executive Officer and President.
