Reporting to Vice President, Operations, the Pharmacy Operations Coordinator provides expertise, direction, and accountability within and around a profitability framework in order to facilitate the achievement of the mission, goals, and objectives of Shoppers Drug Mart/Pharmaprix, specific to pharmacy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for monitoring Pharmacy business systems and ensuring corporate procedures within pharmacy are followed.
- Accountable for the success of Pharmacy Operations and profitability of all stores in your assigned region.
- Required to understand the corporate pharmacy strategy through mentorship with the Pharmacy Director and work through the VP of Operations to identify areas of opportunity to maximize each corporate pharmacy program's success.
- Required to work with Associates in meeting and exceeding agreed upon financial and marketing objectives together with corporate standards through the identification of opportunities and development and implementation of pharmacy driven action plans. - Identify and develop potential Associates and provide proposals and recommendations to the VP of Operations as well, understand the individual development of current team members and the identification of candidates for advancement.
- Responsible for providing a smooth and successful transition of Associates and store transfers / acquisitions, ensuring correct operational standards are being implemented and operational procedures are followed within pharmacy.
- By exception only, provide immediate solutions and results on crisis replacement including dispensing in emergencies

The Pharmacy Operations Coordinator is accountable for understanding each pharmacy's potential growth and financial achievement within its given marketplace, identifying the levers requiring activation to reach that potential, and developing, in partnership with the Associate, a store specific strategy to ensure each store is successfully profitable relative to its capabilities.
