Maine Medical Center is a 606-bed tertiary care and teaching institution with a multi-state referral base, located in Portland, Maine. Unless otherwise stated, MMC employees are eligible for benefits from the first of the month following hire date, as long as they are regular employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week. Plans include:

• Tuition Reimbursement Plan: $2,000 per year available for work-related approved courses

The Pharmacy Department at Maine Medical Center is on the cutting edge with technology, and is a major teaching affiliate for the University of Vermont College of Medicine The pharmacy department utilizes Computerized Physician Order Entry (COPE), as well as Pyxis Cabinets, Class 1000 Clean Room and a medication dispensing robot. The department is also underway with a decentralized clinical pharmacist approach to patient care. Clinical services are also provided for an outpatient infusion facility.

The Department of Pharmacy is affiliated with several pharmacy schools for precepting and practice opportunities.
