Term Care:
Long Term
Care pharmacies provide medication and R.Ph. consultant services
to nursing homes, group homes and assisted living complexes. In
addition, LTC companies may also provide these facilities with
services such as IV/infusion preparation, DME supplies, oxygen &
related equipment, etc. Long Term Care is considered a "closed
door" practice setting which means no customers to deal with or annoying drive
thrus. The most common positions for pharmacists are Staff
Pharmacists, Consultant Pharmacists, Infusion Pharmacists, Management
or a combination of any of these.
