Ellipticare is a Cardinal Health company and an affiliate of the Medicine Shoppe International, Inc. (MSI)
that was created specifically to focus on acute care hospitals and their needs around outpatient and
retail pharmacies. Ellipticare is located in the MSI headquarters in St Louis MO. The goal in developing
Ellipticare was to create a company that took advantage of the 30+ years of apothecary retail experience
that MSI has compiled with it’s 1,300 stores world wide and combine it with the resources and capabilities
of Cardinal Health. Ellipticare fully understands that outpatient and retail pharmacy is normally not a
core competency of most hospitals or integrated health systems. It is with this in mind that the services
of Ellipticare were designed in a model that would be flexible and would focus on providing solutions that
included implementation.

Pharmacy Assessments – Existing Pharmacies
Ellipticare will use it’s team of experts to assess the ongoing retail or outpatient pharmacy operations and
identify sales and profit opportunities that could improve patient care, enhance services and ultimately
improve profitability. Our team of experts will examine all aspects of the business to include the benefits
of serving discharge patients and employees. The recommendations will be provided in an executive summary and
presented to hospitals administration.

Pharmacy Assessments – New Pharmacies
Ellipticare will assess the viability of opening and successfully operating a retail or outpatient pharmacy
at the hospital’s facility. The analysis will include assumption for revenue and expenses based upon the
specific dynamics of the location and the population it will serve. Ellipticare’s analysis and recommendations
shall be set forth in a 5-year Pro Forma, Cash Flow Statement for the proposed pharmacy and shall be provided
in a presentation to hospital senior management.

Consulting
With Ellipticare’s broad breadth of knowledge, many customers engage them for very specific consulting agreements
relating to outpatient and retail pharmacies. The length of these engagements vary in length between 1 week to
2 years in duration and are tailored to be very specific to the customer’s requirements.
