Pharmacy Manager
Description of position: Oversees and directs operations of the in-store pharmacy and other areas of the warehouse. Monitors department performance as Pharmacist-in-Charge. Participates in Pharmacist duties.
Daily tasks and responsibilities:
- Schedules, develops, counsels, trains, and directs department personnel. Makes recommendations for hiring, promotion, and termination to Warehouse Manager. Reviews and approves area timecards. Drafts and participates in presentation of employee performance reviews.
- Acts as Pharmacist-In-Charge, point of contact for regulatory, legal, third party insurance companies, and audit situations. Monitors pharmacy to ensure complete legal compliance.

- Oversees and participates in dispensing prescription medications: measuring, labeling, checking for drug interactions, verifying with physicians, and selecting substitutions when necessary. Assists with counter duties and merchandising as necessary.
- Approves and submits orders for equipment and supplies. Orders product using computer system. Coordinates proper maintenance and repairs for machinery and equipment.
- Provides and ensures prompt and courteous member service. Counsels members on proper medication usage. Responds to customer concerns using problem solving skills, tact, and discretion. Preserves patient confidentiality.
- Oversees perpetual inventory of Schedule II controlled substances. Implements and upholds safety and security procedures.
- This is a full-time management/leadership position (40+ hours per week).

Qualifications:

Verifies and prepares prescription medications in a high volume central fill pharmacy.
