Full-Time Staff Pharmacist
Schuyler Hospital / Montour Falls, NY

Facility: Schuyler Hospital, located in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York, is a Joint Commission-accredited Critical Access Hospital that offers a broad range of services. It has been in operation for nearly 90 years, and today is a more than a hospital; it is a network of providers, programs, and services that stretches into multiple counties.

Pharmacy: Open Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm, the pharmacy is centralized and staffed by one pharmacist and one technician, in addition to a staffing director and per diem pharmacist. It uses Meditech automation, has strong clinical programs, and is in the process of upgrading for eMAR.

Job Description: You will be responsible for dispensing medications and actively participating in the daily operations of the pharmacy. Specifically, you will interpret physician prescriptions and medication orders, and compound and dispense prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patients within the hospital.

Qualifications:
- Current NYS pharmacist licensure required

Description: This Health System Director oversees the operations of 3 campuses within CAMC, the employee pharmacy, and the Solutions Facility.  Key responsibilities include:

·         Coordinating resources to provide a high level of service to patients and the customer. 

·         Managing Comprehensive Pharmacy Services’ relationship with the Hospital administration to ensure good customer service standards are met.

Facility:  West Hills Hospital and Willow Springs Center are two separate acute inpatient psychiatric facilities under the same management.  They provide a full range of behavioral health care services, including inpatient hospitalization, chemical detox and rehabilitation, and intensive outpatient psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment.  West Hills, located on E. 9th Street has 100 beds and an average daily census of  60 patients and Willow Springs Center is located on Edison Way and has 116 beds and a census of 90 .   West Hills and Willow Springs are part of the Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. hospital group, and serve all Northern Nevada and Northern California communities.   Management of the Pharmacy is outsourced to CPS.

The Pharmacy, located at West Hills, provides pharmacy services for both facilities.  The Pharmacy is open from 8am-4pm weekdays and 4 hours Sat and Sun.  Staff work rotating schedules to cover weekends.

Description:   The DOP at West Hills is a staffing director.  Assisted by technicians and per diem pharmacists, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy.  You will be responsible for supervising staff, including hiring, work direction and organization and staff performance.

Scope of Responsibility: Reporting to the Director and Assistant Director, the Clinical Manager supervises existing clinical programs such as aminoglycoside/vancomycin monitoring, infection control monitoring, anti-coagulation therapy protocols, and antimicrobial stewardship.
