peer-to-peer dinner meetings to advisory boards, we do the traditional. But BESTMED
also provides exciting, nontraditional medical education programs that
have given us the reputation of being "out-of-the-box" thinkers who

Key Responsibilities of Medical Science Liaisons |
% of time |
- Develop and maintain professional
relationships with key opinion leaders and academic centers to ensure
their access to current medical and scientific information. Conduct
Round Table and Advisory Board sessions to ensure accessibility of
scientific information.

40% |
- Upon external requests for information,
present data on client products to healthcare professionals including
physicians, hospital practitioners and formulary committees,
consultant pharmacists, and others. Partner with such groups to
identify opportunities for the development of treatment algorithms and
guidelines. Support payer education initiatives as requested by
BESTMED.

20% |
- Facilitate identification and
presentation of research opportunities for consideration in support of
client products and customers. Assist in implementation of protocol
development and administration for proposals to be supported. Uncover
unique opportunities to develop/implement drug utilization and
pharmacoeconomic analysis.

- Provide information to local experts to
assist in keeping their presentations current and ensure they have
medical and scientific information necessary when responding to
questions encountered during their presentations.

- Conduct on-going training to field sales
personnel and others, providing up to date knowledge of product, uses,
and external data. Serve as local medical and scientific resource
planning for communication of product information.

Education and Experience
- MDs, PharmDs, PhDs
- Experience in clinical practice, academic
research, regulatory/scientific, or medical liaison environment
- Ability to travel 60-70% of time employed
